Fender Collision Repair

Repairing a broken car fender can be done in several ways, depending on the severity of the damage. Here are some general steps for repairing a broken car fender: Firstly, we assess the damage. We carefully inspect the fender to determine the extent of the damage. If the damage is minor, such as a small crack or scratch, it may be possible to repair the fender with little effort. However, if the damage is more severe, such as a large crack or a bent fender, it may be necessary to have it replaced. If so, we gather necessary replacement materials. Depending on the type of repair, you will need different materials. For example, if you are filling a crack, you will need a plastic filler, a plastic spreader, and sandpaper. If you are painting the fender, you will need a primer, paint, and clear coat. We always clean the fender. We clean the area around the damage with soap and water. We make sure the area is dry before proceeding with the repair. Then we repair the damage promptly. Depending on the type of damage, we will need to repair it differently. For example, if the fender is bent, we use a heat gun to soften the plastic and bend it back into shape. Sand and paint, unless, of course, it is to be replaced completely. If repair of the fender rather than replacement is requested by the client, we smooth out any rough edges and then apply primer, paint, and clear coat. We allow the paint to dry according to the manufacturer's instructions. Finally, we test fit the fender to make sure everything is lined up correctly. It is important to note that, if the damage is severe, it is best to have the fender replaced to ensure that it is safe and secure for the road. If the damage affects the structural integrity of the vehicle, it may not be safe to repair rather than replace it.

Bumper Collision Repair

Repairing a bumper professionally after a car crash can be a more complex process than a simple repair. Here are some general steps that we take to repair a bumper after a car crash. Firstly, we assess the damage. We inspect the bumper, as well as the surrounding areas of the vehicle, to determine the extent of the damage. This will include evaluating the structural integrity of the bumper and the impact on other parts of the car such as the frame, fenders, and lights. Then, we remove the bumper. We will remove the damaged bumper from the vehicle to straighten and repair the frame. If the frame of the bumper or the vehicle is bent or damaged, it will need to be straightened and repaired before the new or fixed bumper can be installed. Next, we replace any damaged parts. Any car parts that are damaged beyond repair will need to be replaced, of course. This may include headlights, grilles, or other components such as rims. After that we consider prime and paint. If requested, we will prime and paint the repaired area to match the rest of the vehicle and reinstall the bumper so aught matches to perfection. Once the repair is complete, we will reinstall the bumper and make sure it is properly aligned and secured. Finally comes the last inspection. We will conduct a final inspection to ensure that the repair is done correctly and that the vehicle is safe to drive. It is important to note that after a car crash, it is best to take your vehicle to our collision center in Hamilton right away, as we specializes in collision repair service. We have the necessary equipment, knowledge, and experience to repair the bumper and other damaged parts of your car correctly and safely.
